The tough 76 kilometre long third stage  of the Berg River Canoe Marathon saw race favourites Graeme Solomon and Adrian Boros strengthen their hold over the inaugural team competition. As Dave Macleod reports, they opted to work together with the second place team to preserve their race lead.

Interview - Graham Solomon
Race leaders Graeme Solomon was delighted to take a big step closer to winning a second Berg River Canoe Marathon title. The 45 year old was asked by Nick Tatham if the tough 75 kilometre third stage got any easier.

Hungarian marathon champion Adrian Boros of Team Bamboo Warehouse told Nick Tatham that he had been confident of their ability to match any challenge from Joep van Bakel and Keith Moule on the long third stage.

Dutch marathon and SUP champion Joel Van Bakel was delighted to win the tough third stage, and told Nick Tatham that they had been wary of race leaders Graeme Solomon and Adrian Boros getting away from them again.
