Dudgeon's four-for a shining light for the Dolphins

Durban - Returning Hollywoodbets Dolphins seamer Keith Dudgeon was a beacon of light as he bagged four for 72, however despite this the Imperial Lions took control of their CSA 4-Day Domestic Series match on day two at the Imperial Wanderers on Tuesday.

The Lions began the day on 50 without loss, trailing the Dolphins' first innings score of 235 by 185 runs and it took a further eighteen runs before the Dolphins broke through.

The dangerous Dom Hendricks was trapped LBW by the ever-green Rob Frylinck for 41.

Another partnership began for the hosts as Josh Richards and Reeza Hendricks were at the wicket together. The pair added 49 to the score before Richards fell to Keith Dudgeon and then 21 runs later Hendricks was dismissed.

He became Frylinck's second victim, caught by Senuran Muthusamy for 49.

The Dolphins then had to wait a further 109 runs before they broke through
again. Kagiso Rapulana was trapped in front by Muthusamy for 66, the Lions were 245 for four at this stage.

It was 49 runs later when the Dolphins got their fifth wicket, Nicky van den Bergh LBW to
the returning Keith Dudgeon.

The Dolphins managed to snare two wickets late in the day with Dudgeon picking up Dwaine Pretorius and Nono Pongolo.

Rassie van der Dussen went to his century as the Lions finished the day 354 for seven, a lead of 119 runs.

Keith Dudgeon was the pick of the Dolphins bowlers picking up four for 72 while Rob Frylinck bagged two wickets and Muthusamy claimed one.

The Lions go into day three with a 119 run lead at the Bull Ring.
