With less than a week to go before their Guinness Book of World Records attempt at the longest singles tennis match, Cape Town club tennis players Wendy Thompson and Carlos Gomes are preparing themselves physically and mentally for the challenge. They are raising funds to improve tennis facilities in Western Cape townships of Khayalitsha and Kayamandi.

The 65 Challenge to break the Guinness World Record for the longest singles tennis match gets under way at the Constantia Tennis Club at 17h00 on Friday 3 February, and intends to finish at 6am on Monday 6 February 2017.
