Diary Note - 2021 Euro Steel Drak Descent in partnership with FNB - NOT FOR PUBLICATION

Underberg - The 2021 edition of the popular Euro Steel Drak Descent, in partnership with FNB will take place in and around Underberg on Saturday 30 and Sunday 1 January 2021.

The entry for both events will be capped as it has been in the past, with riders taking on the 91km full event either in traditional teams of two or solo riders, while less experienced riders can take on the shorter 43km Euro Steel MTB Challenge.

The race follows the uMzimkhulu River and shadows the popular N3TC Drak Challenge canoe marathon that takes place at the same time.

The Euro Steel Drak Descent supports the Restmount Children's Home that provides holidays for underprivileged children. The first day of the race starts at Restmount Children's Home, and finishes at the Swartberg Road Bridge. The second stage ends at the Umzimkhulu River Lodge.

The Euro Steel Drak Descent forms part of the FNB Drak Adventure Weekend with the N3TC Drak Challenge canoe marathon, the Euro Steel Run The Rivers trail run and the FNB Drak Music Experience.

The registration venue will be at the Olde Duck restaurant.

Gameplan Media will provide a full pre-event build-up media service from early November and a comprehensive Event Media Service providing results, copy, hi-res images, video and audio on each day of the event.

Should you have any specific media requirements, please don't hesitate to contact the event media officer Nick Tatham at
